What Gear Should I Wear During Late Season?

Very often we get messages about what Jacket, Pants and Base Layer pick when planning a late season hunt where you expect temperatures around 0ºF (-17ºC). The first thing you have to determine is, are you planning on hiking or standing still on a tree stand? Same as you don't what to freeze, you don't want to wear something that is too bulky and warm when hiking that makes you sweat in excess. Therefore, as a rule of thumb, we always suggest getting Late Season Vest and Jacket so that you can put on the jacket once you sit down but can wear just the vest to walk hike. I was fortunate enough to take my wife with me on a goat hunt in southern BC and she wore an OncaWarm jacket that I won in a raffle.
